They\u2019ve ushered in <a href=\"https:\/\/kffhealthnews.org\/insurance\/eroding-aca-enrollment-higher-insurance-rates\/\">higher health insurance premiums<\/a> and confusion about who\u2019s covered under new Medicaid rules.<\/p>\n<p>Another result has been falling enrollment in Affordable Care Act plans and Medicaid. That\u2019s leaving <a href=\"https:\/\/ccf.georgetown.edu\/2026\/05\/08\/drop-in-child-medicaid-and-chip-enrollment-even-before-hr-1-policies-take-full-effect-is-troubling-sign\/\">nearly 2 million children<\/a> uninsured, according to an analysis by the Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy\u2019s Center for Children and Families.
