This year, Compass Group and Crothall Healthcare proudly reached the global stage at the 2025 Schneider Electric Paris Marathon through Pierre-Louis Ledent, who represented our organizations while supporting our valued partner and client, <\/span>Team Allied Services<\/span><\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cRunning for a cause gives a much deeper meaning to performance,\u201d Pierre-Louis explained. \u201cAs someone living with a chronic illness, I was particularly touched by Allied Services\u2019 commitment.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Team Allied Services challenges disability inspires fitness, and changes lives by bringing hope and opportunity to individuals with disabilities, life-changing injuries, and chronic illness. Each year, they provide life-changing rehabilitation care to thousands of adults and children, helping them achieve greater independence. Pierre-Louis ran with a special purpose: raising awareness and funds for specialized rehabilitation services benefiting these individuals.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pierre-Louis brings a wealth of athletic experience to Team Allied Services. With over 15 years in sports like competitive fencing, rugby, and long-distance running, his passion for athletic challenges is clear. Currently, he serves as the site director at the National Institute of Sport, Expertise, and Performance (INSEP), where he helps elite athletes with their training.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After completing his first marathon in Milan in 2024, Pierre-Louis embraced the opportunity to represent Team Allied Services in Paris despite having just six weeks to prepare. \u201cI love a challenge, and the opportunity to take part in this adventure in the most beautiful city in the world was simply irresistible,\u201d he shared.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Paris Marathon route winds through the city\u2019s most iconic landmarks, from the Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es and Place de la Concorde to Notre Dame Cathedral and the Eiffel Tower. Over 50,000 international runners tackled the 26.2-mile course.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To prepare, Pierre-Louis developed a specialized training plan, training 3-4 times weekly. He also partnered with an experienced friend running in his tenth marathon. This preparation paid off; Pierre-Louis finished in 3 hours and 27 minutes, improving his Milan marathon time by 10 minutes despite Paris\u2019s more demanding course.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While celebrating his impressive finish time, Pierre-Louis emphasized that the race\u2019s true value was elsewhere. \u201cThanks to this race, Allied Services was able to <\/span>raise more than three thousand dollars.<\/span><\/a> A true human adventure, driven by collective commitment.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The most memorable moments came from the overwhelming support. \u201cEvery moment is memorable: the 50,000 runners, the volunteers, the laughter, the tears\u2026 What I particularly appreciated was the support of my friends, especially after the 37th kilometer. At that moment, I realized that I had crossed the famous \u2018wall\u2019 and was still in good shape.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In challenging moments, the cause became his motivation. \u201cIn the most difficult times, it was the cause I was running for that gave me the strength to keep going. Thinking about it made me hold on even harder.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The support from Crothall Healthcare and Compass Group enabled Pierre-Louis to bring Allied Services\u2019 mission to a global stage, extending its reach beyond borders.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
